Sunday Hottie of the Week

>> Sunday, November 29, 2009

It's been awhile since I have posted a Hottie of the Week... and this hottie - well - is hot.

As in HAWT.

As in I kinda want to be one of those star tattoos...

Jon Foster from the show Accidentally on Purpose.

Go ahead and enjoy.

Christmas Wish List

>> Tuesday, November 24, 2009

One of my Facebook friends stated as his status update that there is now a month left until he starts his Christmas shopping... which, knowing most of the men that have been in my life, sounds quite true.

Here is what I have come up with...

It squirts water...I don't really care about the model/make - I just want it to have the water squirt ability that my current iron is lacking.

My annual Canucks calendar (available at Pharmasave)...A few books (get them at Costco or online... in the stores is way too expensive)...
- The Sari Shop Widow by Shobhan Bantwal
- Bed of Roses by Nora Roberts
- Kabul Beauty School: An American Woman Goes Behind the Veil by Deborah Rodriguez

Well... that is all that I can come up with... I will gladly accept gift cards or money as well for those that don't want to send anything bulky in the mail...

Only One Month 'til Christmas Eve's Eve...

>> Monday, November 23, 2009

Yup... the countdown has begun.

Mainly it is a countdown until when they will stop playing Christmas music in every store that I go in... but it is also a countdown until I head home for a few days for the festive season.

Don't hate me - but I am pretty much done my shopping - I mean... I'll probably pick up a few things here and there (which I think is the curse of the early shopper... I just can't stop shopping because I am done!), but I am done with the big stuff.

Now I have to wrap it all.

And get some stuff in the mail.

We won't go into the fact that mailing the gifts will more than likely cost more than the actual gifts themselves (that is the bonus of an early shopper - sales!)...

Over the next couple of days I am going to post (for all that care... meaning my mom...) my wishlist.

A disclaimer on the wishlist... when I want something, I usually just buy it.

So I usually have to think long and hard about what I actually want, that I don't already own.

It is hard work people!

Stay tuned... one of the things I wants sprays water!

High School... Part Deux

>> Wednesday, November 18, 2009

In the last couple of days, my Twitter feed started to look more like the chat that would go on in the hallowed halls of high school rather than the witty discussion that I have become accustomed to in the last little while.

Cheap shots, the use of the c-word that rhymes with runt, and just generally clique-yness that I don't have the time, or will/desire to deal with.

I have no problem with joking... I can send out zingers myself... but I hope I know when to end it and move on. And I never, ever, use the c-word, jokingly or not. To me, it is the most vulgar word in the English language.

So I purged. I will probably be looked at as the "girl who can't take a joke" or the crabby Canucks fan, and I will perhaps be talked about behind my back, but I left high school a number of years ago, and have no desire to enter back into that world.

Sayonara old friends... and onto new ones...

And I Wonder Why I'm Single?

>> Saturday, November 14, 2009

Because the guys on plentyoffish.com that send me messages have profiles that read like this:

"I like dirt bikeing and campung

I want to find a nice girl to treat me like a personi like to play music and I love my truck Have lots of fun enjoy lifeMeat other people. I just want to have "fun" and hang outI am good person and funny"

I won't even comment on the fact that his occupation is "construckshen".

Seriously.

I couldn't make that shit up if I'd tried.

I hope he finds someone to have "fun" with... unfortunately it won't be me.

Delete.

NaBloPoBlah

>> Tuesday, November 10, 2009

Yeah... I have decided to be the anti-NaBloPoMo poster this month...

I don't know what it is... I mean - I have lots of things that I could post about, but none seem worthy of the keystrokes when I sit down.

That, and I have the memory of a goldfish and when I actually sit down I can't remember what I wanted to post about.

Hmmm... so here is a re-cap of my last few weeks...
- went to Prince George and hung out with friends for a few days
- had the stomach bug (noodles came out my nose people!)
- found out that I am getting a bunch of cashola as a back payment from the government for when I was in University
- got an iPhone (yes - I now realize that should have been point #1). I think I love my iPhone more than I ever loved my ex-husband...
- have a date for sure for this weekend... and realized recently that I wasted a lot of time e-mailing another online dating guy...
- went and watched @sarahdotcom and Ju play ringette - I hope I wasn't bad luck for them! It was fun cheering for them.

Today is my last day of work this week - I start five days off as of 4:30 today!! Yippee.

Sorry for the boring post... but I am alive... and I am reading your blogs... really, I am just boring right now.
