I'm Back...
Yes... I have actually been back a week, but with a minor case of jetlag - not so much the sleepy part but a headache. I had a wonderful time... well - probably the best time of my life... now dont' get me wrong - there were times I wanted to kill every single on that bus... but for the most part they were a great group and my TM Flip (Janelle) and the (extremely hot South African) driver Jaime were awesome.
I am going to be writing more about my trip on my travel blog... I haven't really started yet but I will be working on it gradually. I also have 1800 or so pictures - I will post that link as well, but I am working on tagging them and such.
Now... for the rest of my life. I have decided to apply for a British passport (I can do that because my father - who I haven't talked to in 16 or so years - but that doesn't matter apparently - the fact that I am his legitimate child is what counts)... with the possibility of moving to Northern England or Scotland to work and live. The bonus is that with a UK passport I wouldn't have to jump through any of the hoops like visas, etc. I would be good to go as soon as I stepped off the plane to find work.
That aside (and that probably won't happen until next year sometime) I have decided to scale back on my crafting. Well - I have already scaled back to the point that I have hardly made anything since I moved to Calgary, but I have still been buying crap left, right and centre. So I have put myself on a purchace moratorium and I can only use stuff that I have.
That and I have decided to sell off some of my stuff on eBay - mostly Stampin' Up stuff... mostly used (but gently)... I will post that link when the time comes.
Other than that I am back to purging stuff from my apartment (which is a whole other story - while I was gone they sold my building and now it the the 2nd of the month and I have no idea where to pay my rent... I have ranted enough about this to my poor co-workers so I will just leave it be now)... so far two bags of clothes and a bunch of crap is leaving my house (including a bunch of blankets, etc. for Megan and the kitties at the SPCA)... I will be posting some of the better stuff on Kijiji, Craigslist and eBay.
Enough about me... I'd better get back to work!

Carmen,
ReplyDeleteGetting UK passport certainly saves you from many hassles in life. As passport photo is an integral part, you must ensure you submit a valid passport picture. Here's a useful link that allows you to print valid passport phtotos at home for free. You can also print country-specific photos by following simple instructions posted on the site.
Happy surfing :)
