Reverb 10: Day 3
Today's prompt... Moment. Pick one moment during which you felt most alive this year. Describe it in vivid detail (texture, smells, voices, noises, colors).
(Today's prompt is from Ali Edwards. I freaking love Ali Edwards... she's an amazing papercrafter, and even though I don't really do much of that anymore, I still read her blog faithfully. She posts an excellent mix of life and craft.)
I am not sure about most alive... but the most excitement I felt this year is as my plane was approaching the Dublin Airport in September. It was just like I thought it would be. Green... lush... I was so excited. I was operating on about three hours sleep, but approaching Ireland from across the Irish Sea was amazing.
The whole trip made me feel alive (well, except when I was dying of the plague in Scotland), but the time I spent in Ireland was my favorite. The stories of the leprechauns. The patchwork quilt fields.
I fully believe that international travel should be at the top of everyone's to do list. For so many more reasons than I can explain, but mostly so that you have an "alive" moment to share.
