A small Christmas tale

by - Friday, December 21, 2012

As I was putting my suitcase in my car, a kid skating alone at the outdoor rink behind my place called me over and asked if I would tie his skates tighter. I went over, the kid (wearing two pairs of snow pants!) plopped down on the ice and I tied his skates for him. He asked if I had skates, and why I wasn't out on the ice. I told him I was getting ready to fly home to see my family for Christmas. When I finished tying his skates he thanked me... and as I put my suitcase in my car he yelled out "have a great Christmas with your family", and waved as I drove past.

That, my friends, is Christmas.
