An Eagerly Anticipated Blog Post...

Okay, my friend Jen has been bugging my to update my blog. If only I really had something worth posting on my blog. I meant to take pictures of the great BRAK's I recieved for my birthday last week from all my SCS friends, but I forgot to take the pictures. I watched a lot of hockey last week, but I am sure that most of you in blogland probably don't care. Other than that there isn't much that I can post on my blog... I will just let all of you imagine the rest (hey - my mom reads this!!).

The Sprucekings came up slightly short on a National Championship - but earned a well-deserved second place in the whole country. They set RBC, BCHL, arena and team records by playing 146:01 minutes of hockey on the Saturday night - with Jason Yuel scoring the game winning goal over the Camrose Kodiaks in the FIFTH overtime. The game ended at 1:01 in the morning - totally understandable that they were beat and couldn't pull off the championship against the Aurora Tigers only a mear 16 hours later. But is was damn good hockey - I just wish the fans of PG would have been a little more receptive of the games - the attendance was mediocre at best.
Team Canada won gold at the World Championships this weekend - going 9 and 0 for the first time since back in the 1930's. The Save Shane Doan campaign received over 32,000 signatures and I am sure that there are a lot of politicians eating crow right about now.
Okay - that is all for now - I must work a bit. I will try and come up with some witty remarks for a later post, but right now I am tired.
