Recovery Planning...

by - Sunday, August 23, 2009

I am one of those people that can either be very content being bored (which usually leads to napping) or gets very agitated being bored - there is no middle ground. Being forced to basically do nothing for a couple of days is going to kind of kill me while I recover... then there is the two weeks where I can fend for myself, but still can't lift anything more than 5 lbs. Yes - there are lots of fun times ahead at my place.

Don't even get me started on the fact that I can't sleep on my stomach with my hands under the pillows above my head. The thought of having to sleep on my back pains me to no end.

To combat the impending boredom, I will not only have my mom here to keep me entertained (I am thinking she can choreograph a dance to the BSB or NKOTB or something and act it out for me repeatedly), I will have the internet... but I will also have the following to keep me from killing myself occupied:

1. Peter DeWolf's novella
#$@%ing Read Me
2. The first seven books in the Sookie Stackhouse series

3. Seasons 1 and 2 of Mad Men, seasons 2 through 5 of Nip/Tuck, season 2 of Californication and seasons 2 and 3 of Dexter
4. Days of Our Lives - I figure two weeks is just enough time to figure out what has been happening the last four years, and more than enough time to remember why I don't watch soap operas anymore.I hope I don't lose my mind...

No I'm not going to dance for you, as that sounds to much like the list of things to do when you are bored eg dance naked infront of your pets. Not ever going to happen even with smaller boobs. Love Mo

  6. The Percocet knocked me out for two days... and then day three I was just there..... by four and five I was finally able to focus more....and ready to take on the world.

I slept on the couch for the first two nights... then with a pillow on one side of me. After a few days, I started sleeping on my side with a pillow between the breasts so the higher one was supported. The bras will hold you in place pretty well though.

I have surgery scheduled for Sept 23 and I have a startlingly similar stack of reading and watching material stashed away.
