Ten on Tuesday

1. What is your dream vacation? 

Really, any vacation is a dream vacation.  I'd love to see Greece, Croatia, Poland... and I'd love to be able to spend a month travelling around Australia and New Zealand as well.

2. What has been your favorite trip so far in your life?

I've had a couple of awesome trips... I think I liked the laid-back atmosphere I created for my Ireland/Northern Ireland/Scotland trip last year - I had ideas of what I wanted to do, but only a few concrete plans.  I did what I felt like doing that day, and sometimes it was hanging out in the hostel watching TV!

3. If you and one of your best friends could go anywhere in the world for one week, where would it be and why?
I think probably a cruise... I'm thinking the Mediterranean. I'm a bang-for-your-buck travellor - I want to see as many countries as possible in the time I have!

4. Have you ever booked a trip using an online deal? How did it go?
I've booked almost all my travel online myself, but I can't say any of them have been through a deal website - I mean, I've gotten some great deals, but that is due to the meticulous (read: OCD) research I do!

5. What’s your favorite thing to do while you’re on vacation?
See the sights!

6. Have you ever missed an opportunity to take a trip that you regret?
Nope - ever since my divorce I pretty much travel when I want, where I want.  I do tend to plan pretty far in advance though so that probably helps.

7. You travel far away from home and get stranded with no way to buy anything, what’s the one thing you can’t live without?
Shampoo.  I can't stand not having clean hair (plus I could double it as soap in a pinch).

8. What’s one of your favorite traveling memories?
Where do I start? Rafting down a river in Austria? Visiting the Eiffel Tower at night when the lights are twinkling? Seeing the crown jewels? Giants Causeway? The Cliffs of Moher? The Holocaust Museum? I can't just name one!

9. All included resort or backpacking? Why? 
Depends on where I am going... if it is a beach-y vacation than all-inclusive is the way to go... if I'm trying to get around Europe I'm all for backpacks and hostels.

10. Are you more of a lie on the beach kind of person on vacation, or do you prefer to see the sights?
See the sights.  I really am not a "heat" person, plus I don't want to feel like I missed out on something because I was sitting on a beach!
