- My foot is not broken... I went back a week after being told it was broken (and after spending $175 on an aircast and crutches - thankfully reimbursed by my extended health) and it was decided that I'm either a quick healer, or my foot was never broken. I did do a number to the tendons though, and even three weeks later by the end of the day I'm walking with a limp.
- I bought my condo. Well, I'm in the process of buying my condo. A couple of weeks ago my new landlords (yeah... that would be why my January rent cheque hadn't cashed) came by and said that they were probably going to sell my unit. So, I asked for the right of first refusal on buying. The process has gone quickly - especially once we settled on a price (I had a $50,000 price range given to me by the new landlords, we quickly settled at the very low end of the range). My mom has been awesome, lending me some money to get the downpayment squared away - normally one would save for a downpayment, but when you go from renting to owning in less than three weeks, there isn't time to save!
- There is only 54 days until I leave for Eastern Europe. I'm getting to the point that I just want to go, but I still need to do some research on things to do while I'm there. I think I finally have all of the travel between places sorted out (provided I can figure out how to buy bus and train tickets over there), and now I just need to go!
- A coworker and I submitted a proposal to present at a conference in Montreal this summer. I think it would be super cool to be able to go!!
That's about it for now... I have lots of post ideas in my head - it's just a matter of writing them down!
