Bad Blogger...

Okay - I have been a bad blogger as of late. But I haven't been near a computer for awhile, so here is an update. I just got back from a road trip that took me to visit my mom on the Island, then down to Seattle, and then to the Lower Mainland to visit Katrina. Here are some of the highlights of my trip:

1. The AWESOME rubber stamping stores. I visited a number of different stores in Seattle - Impress Rubber Stamps, Paper Source, PaperZone, Stampadoodle, Monkey Love and Rubber Soul - sometimes if there were more than one store I visited all of them - I am in love with the selection down there!

2. I got to meet Linda Carnell - she owns A Muse Artstamps - she is really nice and seemed genuinely interested to talk to little old me! A Muse is my favorite company for individual stamps - I got lots of cool ones and I am making a slew of cool 4 1/4 inch square cards and some nifty magnets for the THREE craft fairs I have signed up for!

3. JULIE HRR - she is amazingly slendiferous!!! I could have sat and talked to her all day - well, I pretty much did since I did sign up for all of her courses at Precious Memories in Langley. I got to take home 12 cute cards, and five nifty ideas for wrapping/gift tags. I would do it all again in a heartbeat! Plus the 20% and 30% discounts didn't hurt either (well, they did hurt the bank account... but not me!)

4. I saw them throw fish at the Pike Place Market Fish Market - it was awesome - and the cute fish guys weren't so hard on the eyes too! It is like an extremely crammed Granville Island - but at Granville Island they don't throw fish!!

5. Seattle Premium Outlets - this is the outlet mall to end all outlet malls in the Seattle area - I was getting GAP shirts for $7... you can't go wrong with a $7 GAP shirt!

6. This one is stupid - Katrina says she sees it all the time - but I actually saw the price of gas change - right before my eyes! On the big board - they were rolling the numbers and everything! And they were lowering it. Now - that is one problem I have. You hear about high gas prices in the US of A - I was getting gas as low (??) as $.83 per litre - a whole $.30 - $.35 less than Canada. So - don't complain!! :)

I think that is it. I do have a couple of picture of fish flying through the air and of the Space Needle that I will post later. I really need to go and buy some more tiles to make coasters as stupid me - I have signed up for THREE craft fairs this winter and I need stock!!
