Update...

Gas company coming... sometime... apparently they want me to give them a 24-hour window. Fat bloody chance... I will turn on my own pilot lights thank-you-very-much. I just watched a video on YouTube how to do it and I am pretty sure I can without burning the building down... women for umpteen years have been doing it on their own... why put a cog in the wheel now and get some grease-monkey to do it for me?

All this because of a glitch in the system and I hadn't gotten a bill for some reason... I got the electricity part of the bill... but not gas...

Damn Alberta - has to make everything difficult... why couldn't they just be like BC with a gas and an electric company... it was easy there...

Bonus - my shower was still hot this morning... I can pretty much guarantee that will not be the case tomorrow if they haven't hooked me up...

Downside... there is snow outside... so I have to dig out my winter jacket to wear... luckily it is still toasty in my apartment... for now...
