Sucked In...
Yup... I succumbed to the stupid Twilight series*. But... because I am cheap just to stick it to the man I am only going to read the books as they come out in paperback. Take that publishing conglomerates!
So... this means I have only read Twilight and New Moon... and seriously... at the end of Twilight I figured I was reading a book series about vampires.
But then they went and added werewolves in New Moon. I mean - seriously... vampires and werewolves? If I didn't want to know if Bella becomes a vampire** there would be absolutely no way I would continue reading the next two books (when they come out in paperback that is).
Werewolves and vampires? Stupid crazy.
*Please don't hold the fact that I started reading the series against me. The first book was at Costco for $4.99 and I fell into the Costco trap of buying stuff just because it is cheap. And the second book was bought using a gift card... so really - it isn't my fault. It is Costco's and Chapter's faults I am reading high school drivel.
** I will seriously maim anyone who spoils the series for me... I mean... I assume she becomes a vampire in the end... but you know what they say about assuming things... it just makes an "ass" out of "u" and "me".

you think the werewolf thing is crazy....ohhh you just wait my dear friend...it gets even crazier!
ReplyDeleteBut oh so good! They really do suck you in.
And don't feel bad for being a late starter...I just finished them and it was only because I was able to borrow all the books from friends!
I just finished the series. I started out skeptical and was sucked in like... water into a Shamwow. For the first half of the series I was embarrassed by how much I was loving the terrible writing and high school romance, but I got over that pretty fast. Just you wait!
ReplyDeleteI was also totally sucked in - I think all the books are out in paperback, at least in Australia?
ReplyDeleteI am not going to lie to you, the werewolf plotline is my favorite.
I have drawn the line at the movie though.
sucked into water like a shamwow - that is damn funny.
ReplyDeleteI have not started reading the books - it peaked my interest but I've managed to avoid it so far...
Embrace the Twilight, Carmen. Let out your inner 15 year old, open your arms wide and embrace it.
ReplyDeleteDon't feel bad, I too got sucked in. They're addicting, that's for sure. I'm in the last book and have found that it's not quite as quick a read as the others, but still entertaining none the less. Enjoy!
