High School... Part Deux
In the last couple of days, my Twitter feed started to look more like the chat that would go on in the hallowed halls of high school rather than the witty discussion that I have become accustomed to in the last little while.
Cheap shots, the use of the c-word that rhymes with runt, and just generally clique-yness that I don't have the time, or will/desire to deal with.
I have no problem with joking... I can send out zingers myself... but I hope I know when to end it and move on. And I never, ever, use the c-word, jokingly or not. To me, it is the most vulgar word in the English language.
So I purged. I will probably be looked at as the "girl who can't take a joke" or the crabby Canucks fan, and I will perhaps be talked about behind my back, but I left high school a number of years ago, and have no desire to enter back into that world.
Sayonara old friends... and onto new ones...

They sound a bit tacky.. and immature. Good riddance!
ReplyDeleteI love online - obviously. But I love online best when I purge every once in a while.
ReplyDeleteWow, sounds like something got way out of hand.
ReplyDeleteHa... the best part is that after I unfollowed them, and then one took the time to tell me to "stay cool" on Twitter... and that her feed was more "positive" without me. What - because I don't like c-word jokes? Stay cool?
ReplyDeleteSo highschool...
Well this is just absurd. Canucks fans aren't crabby.

Yikes! I do not like the C word. Why must people use it?
