Reverb 10: One Word

by - Wednesday, December 01, 2010

Because I like posting every day (well, I don't mind it... except when I have nothing to say)... I've decided to at least start Reverb 10 - which, according to their website, is "an opportunity to reflect on what's happened, and to send out reverberations for the year ahead".

Today's prompt is One Word. Encapsulate the year 2010 in one word. Explain why you’re choosing that word. Now, imagine it’s one year from today, what would you like the word to be that captures 2011 for you?

This years word is finally.

After a few years of ups and downs, I "finally" have things where I want them. I'm happy in my personal life. I have a great manfriend (except when he unplugged the PVR in the middle of taping the Biggest Loser last night, but that's another story), I have great friends, and overall, I'm just plain happy.  But it's not something that I didn't have to work towards, continually growing as a person, and I'm "finally" glad everything is falling into place.

For 2011, I'm going to go with growth. Because I can't just be happy with what I've got. I need to keep growing as a person, as a partner, a co-worker and a friend.  Because I can be better.  And I will be.  And I'll use the next year to prove that to myself.
