A "Completely Hypothetical" Question...

by - Monday, March 07, 2011

I need opinions here... I'll try and lay the "hypothetical" story out without prejudice (yeah right... like I can keep those to myself)...

Here is a little background...

Two or so years ago, the man moved away from the woman and their two children (for reasons that we don't really need to go into - we'll just leave it at it was better for the man's personal health) to a city 2.5 hours away.

While the man does not live with his children, he makes arrangements to see them for a weekend every two to three weeks, calls them every night, and pays child support willingly.

To pick up and drop off the kids on the weekends they are with the man, the man drives half-way (well, he drives to a town that is 1.5 hours from where he lives and the woman drives 1 hour - so it isn't really half-way, but that right now is such an insignificant part of the story) on Friday night to pick up the kids, and drops them off "half-way" on Sunday to drop them off with the woman (who is always running late, but then again - an insignificant part of the story today).

Let's just say that the meat and potatoes of this "hypothetical" story take place during the past weekend.  The man drives his 1.5 hours to go pick up the kids (and the woman is running late as per usual)... and as he's about to go back to his city, he notices the woman is following him.

SHE FOLLOWS HIM ALL THE WAY BACK TO HIS (GOD DAMN MOTHER EFFING) CITY!

What the hell was the point of the man driving three-hours round trip to pick up the kids when the woman was already going to the city he lives in anyways???????? (I don't think there could ever be enough question marks on that sentence to adequately express how perplexed I am by this)

Fast forward to Sunday, when the man wants to make arrangements to drop the kids off.  Now - before the man knew that the woman was going to be in his city all weekend long, there was an arrangement that she would pick them up in his city (he thought maybe she was coming up later in the weekend for something - he didn't expect her to follow him back on the Friday night) at a coffee shop at one of the two ways out of the man's city on the way to the woman's city.

The man texted the woman and asked her to meet him on the other road out of town since that is where he was, rather than the road they'd originally decided to meet on (which is, no word of a lie, no more than five minutes away - but since the woman was on her way, the man figured it would be an easy switch rather than packing the kids up and moving them)...

AND SHE SAID NO - SHE WASN'T GOING TO GO OUT OF HER WAY TO PICK THEM UP!

Shall I do a bit of a re-cap here?

a) there are two roads that leave town to go back to her house, and she wasn't on either of them yet when the request was made (and the road the man was on is the quicker way out of town),
b) the man had already driven THREE HOURS out of his way to pick them up on Friday night when she was coming to his town anyways, and
c) she is a rat bag ho with a badly bleached horrendous faux hawk and she wears pleather and plaid (okay - that really wasn't a re-cap).

ARE YOU EFFING SERIOUS? OUT OF HER WAY? MAYBE FIVE MINUTES? WHEN THE MAN HAD ALREADY DRIVEN THREE HOURS OUT OF HIS WAY BARELY 48 HOURS BEFORE?

The ultimatum given to the man was along the lines of "well, if you don't want to meet at the pre-arranged place, I'll be back in my city by 8:00 pm and you can just drop them off there".

REALLY?

It's a good thing that in my code of morals is a statement "not to punch rat bag hos with nasty faux hawks".

So... my question is to this "hypothetical" situation... does the man have every right to be pissed off? And, knowing that this is only a small portion of the pain and suffering that the man has to put up with - how does he deal with it? He wants to see his kids, but he can't take the woman's asinine attitude towards, well, everything.

------

We won't even go into the part of the weekend when the man's 12-year-old daughter walked out of her bedroom wearing a shirt that said something along the lines of "Dance like a Mother Fucker" on it that the woman bought her.

Needless to say, the shirt was changed and didn't make an appearance the rest of the weekend.

Who buys their 12-year-old daughter a shirt that says "Mother Fucker" on it anyways?

Oh yeah... one that makes someone drive three hours out of their way, but won't return the "favor" by driving five minutes out of theirs.

  2. So glad I don't have to deal with the ratbag ho.. or whatever you called her. She sounds like a piece of work!! This just reiterates what has been obvious to me this week. Some people have no effing common sense.. it seems like commonsense to say, "Hey I'm coming to your city, let's meet there.." but sounds like the ho bag is really into the eff you buddy, you can come get them if you want to see them!!
