Stabby

I've had a few blog posts swirling in my head... but the thought of most make me so angry that I don't want to take the time to write them out.  People make me stabby.  So, I'll just rant in short paragraph form for you all instead.

People don't want to support the Enbridge pipeline because of numerous issues - the environment, the fact that jobs won't be created in Canada (someone really need to explain that one to me), they don't want us to sell our oil to American... blah, blah, blah.  Oil is a reality people.  And us Canadians have a lot of it.  I'd personally rather get my oil from my backyard, then you know... the Sudan where we all know there is a great track record for human rights, etc.  And I'm sure they have excellent environmental laws too.

The Calgary Stampede.  I went on the weekend with my mom, and had a great time watching the rodeo and the chuckwagon races.  Unfortunately last night there was a huge accident on the track and three horses ended up losing their lives.  This is a tragedy.  Seriously - do you think anyone wants their horse to die?  But if you read the comments on the newpaper articles online you see chuckwagon racing equated to dogfighting... really?  I'm pretty sure that the purpose of a chuckwagon race is to win... not kill the opponent.  Those horses are family to the riders... the rider that lost the horses last night could barely talk in his news interview he was crying so hard.  I fully believe that the Stampede does all it can to mitigate any injuries, both to the animals and the humans, during the events.

That's just a couple of things lately... and I wonder why I don't really like people most of the time.

They make me stabby.
