The Injuries Revealed...

It's been a couple of days since the end of the Stanley Cup finals, so I hope I can write this without sounding "whiny".  While we all know that some of the first words out of Coach Alain Vigneault's mouth after the loss was "we're all fine"... the true fans knew that wasn't the case.  Good on him for not wanting to give excuses for the loss though... but here are the facts...

Ryan Kesler - reportedly played with both a groin tear and hip labrum tear
Dan Hamhuis - suffered a sports hernia, groin and lower abdomen injury
Christian Erhoff - shoulder injury
Mason Raymond - vertebrae compression fracture (broken back)
Mikael Samuelsson - injured his abductor tendon and sports hernia
Alex Edler - two broken fingers
Chris Higgins - probable broken foot
Kevin Bieksa - bruised MCL
Henrik Sedin - back injury

So - our two-time Selke nominee, four of our top defencemen and last year's Art Ross and Hart trophy winners all injured.

It's no wonder we couldn't score... and for all the Luongo haters out there - no matter how good or bad your goalie plays, you can't win without scoring.

And, to end this post on a good note...
